Welcome! and Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Karen Burton and I am the owner-operator of Poodles Doodles. Poodles Doodles is a small graphic and web design business who specializes in print designs, and wordpress websites. I started Poodles in 2006 when the printing company I was working for went out of business. Many of the clients I worked with at the printing company had come to me and asked if I would continue to design their product labels for them, of course my answer was YES! with that, Poodles Doodles was born.

Now I am sure your asking (as everyone does) why Poodles Doodles? Well, I decided to take a business class to help me write a business plan and the first thing we were told is that a business name should be memorable. I went through alot of ideas, but nothing really hit me… until… a dear friend of mine suggested that my nickname “Poodle” should be somewhere in the name. To explain, I have natural curly hair and was nicknamed Poodle several years ago. I loved the idea of using my nickname, and what do artists tend to do when they are bored or when they are working on a design idea? They DOODLE, and viola! Poodles Doodles was born.

At first, I was going to solely concentrate on my previous clientele on a part time basis and still work full-time, but over the years (and with this lovely economy) I’ve had to concentrate my efforts more and more on making Poodles Doodles successful as a stand alone business (my primary income). Poodles has now began offering many more services than I ever anticipated. I can do anything from administrative “virtual assistant” type work, document preparation services, graphic design, wordpress website design, typesetting, social media marketing and so much more.
