Consistent design will help with branding your image. Take YEAH! for example, they have several “Rock and Roll” youth programs under their main non-profit umbrella, however each program is named differently with their own website and budgets. We have taken a main website style and applied it to each site, then once we have created the “branded” look and feel, we have created additional marketing pieces based on that main theme. From stickers, to brochures and even guitar picks and flash drives. Students and parents recognize the style and know that the program belongs to the parent organization because of the consistent design, look and feel. This helps to build trust as well.
Website Look and Feel
As you can see we chose a look for the main website that optimizes information spill, since YEAH! (Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities) runs so many different programs we needed a way to cleanly display all information in an easy to find format. However, each of the project programs under YEAH! then have the same layout design, with customized colors, content and images to promote their individual brands while staying true to the same “feel”.
Then we get to the marketing brochures. We picked a solid design and only changed the colors as needed to differentiate between the camps. We have also created oval vehicle stickers and have ordered guitar picks, drumsticks and flash-drives for each of the camps as well. This is a great way to keep their name in everyones face. We have also created facebook fan pages and twitter backgrounds to match each site.
